BYD for DHL: In Chinese Shenzhen, DHL uses 35 electric vans by BYD for its package deliveries. The T3 with its 200 km range is the start of a “strategic cooperation” between the two firms. Meanwhile BYD has readied two more electric delivery vans, the T5 and T7, that both offer more room for load.
Gogoro OPEN Initiative: The electric scooter sharing system from Taiwan says it found 200 cities from 50 countries ready to install mini Gogoro chargers. The initiative is designed to establish interest and ultimately extend the scope of the firm’s electric mobility offering.

Hydrogen running dry: Toyota has asked U.S. dealers to delay Mirai deliveries as H2 infrastructure is not ready. There are less than a dozen stations open in California and Toyota would thus sell a car destined to come to a standstill. The firm stresses that sales have not come to a halt, just a hold off.
Green council: Bradford administration now leases seven Nissan e-NV200 and two Nissan Leaf. All nine electric vehicles will be used by staff and replace older diesel vehicles. 75 percent of the cost is covered by the British Government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles.
Grants granted: Malta kicks off its EV incentive scheme as planned. It includes a scrappage bonus of up to 7,000 euros for those wishing to replace their old car, as well as a 4,000 euro incentive for those who simply wish to purchase an electric vehicle.
