Lo Res car: United Nude is a group of shoe designers who decided to create an electric car. The result is a very futuristic EV, as they applied a 3D abstraction method. Inspiration came from Lamborghini. However, the Lo Res EV can only go 31 mph – tops.

Electric bus extension: Indian Optare and its partner Ashok Leyland worked on doubling the range of its electric MetroCity and Solo buses to 200 miles. The project is an on-going effort and will eventually touch on heating, motors, transmission and battery packaging. Optare confirmed the introduction of the electric MetroDecker double-decker bus by the end of this year.

Calcium-ion battery: Researchers at Argonne National Laboratory and the Joint Center for Energy Storage Research (JCESR) present the first rechargeable calcium-ion battery with a tin anode.
