Inowroclaw orders 16 Volvo electric buses

The Polish city has ordered a fleet of eight fully electric and eight hybrid buses from Swedish automobile manufacturer Volvo. Inowroclaw is the first Polish city to decide to go fully electrified with their public transport network.

The buses are scheduled to be delivered in 2018, and are part of a turnkey package, which will see Volvo maintains vehicle and battery maintenance for the city as well. Last year, Volvo also supplied 35 hybrid buses to the Polish city of Sosnowiec, which now holds the countries largest fleet of hybrid buses.
