The ChargePlace Scotland network is growing as eVolt UK installs two of its new rapid charging units at two petrol stations by Euro Garages. Further units may be added in the future depending on how demand develops.

Located at Lomondgate Services in West Dunbartonshire and Caird Park service station in Dundee, the eVolt Raption chargers are capable of charging two vehicles simultaneously at 50 kW in about half an hour.

Adam Patel from Euro Garages, said: “Euro Garages is committed and dedicated to environmental sustainability and reducing emissions, so there is certainly potential for us to install more charging units across our sites.”

Scotland plans to ban all sales of fossil-fuel-powered cars from 2032 reportedly.
