Over 2,000 additional electric scooters are headed for Paris as Govecs helps Cityscoot to grow their sharing fleet. Cityscoot will take delivery of over 2,750 new electric scooters and has also expanded to Nice. Govecs deployed over 10,000 e-scooters across Europe to date.

Also Cityscoot is on track for its planned expansion after they collected 40 million euros in funding earlier this year. They launched a new service in Nice while expanding their fleet of electric scooters in Paris.

All electric scooters are made by Govecs in their facility in Poland. For France, the Munich-based firm is delivering an additional fleet of 2,750 new e-scooters, the first part of their 2018 order as Cityscoot wants to “have an average of one e-scooter for every 100 metres in the area we cover with our sharing service in Paris,” says Bertrand Fleurose, the CEO of Cityscoot.

Apart from Cityscoot, Govecs also supplies other e-scooter services such as eCooltra in Spain, emmy in Germany and Felyx in the Netherlands.

Particularly Paris has seen multiple sharing offers spring up with two more electric car business planned after the city cancelled their contract with Autolib (we reported). The latest electric two-wheelers to appear on the boulevards came from Lime that launched a fleet of trottinettes (kick scooters) reportedly.
