ZF & Danfoss agree strategic partnership for e-drives
ZF Friedrichshafen and Danfoss of Denmark are intensifying their existing cooperation through a strategic partnership for the joint development and production of more robust and efficient power modules for electrified drives.
Danfoss will act as the supplier for the power modules, including the power semiconductors ZF is developing in the recently announced collaboration with semiconductor specialist Cree.
A first major milestone in the partnership is the supply contract for a ZF project that is scheduled to go into series production in 2022. In addition to 400-volt standard applications, the two companies have started the joint development of an 800-volt power module for a series-production project.
