VW launches ID.4 in China with drone spectacle

A few days ago, Volkswagen presented the ID.4 for the Chinese market and did not scrimp on spectacle: For the launch of the electric car in China, the carmaker staged a lavish light show with 2,000 illuminated drones as shown in the video below.

During the day, VW officially presented the two versions of the ID.4 for the Chinese market. The ID.4 X is the version of the electric SUV developed for SAIC-VW, while the ID.4 Crozz is the counterpart of FAW-VW.

Volkswagen garnished the launch of the electric car with a remarkable light choreography in the night sky over Shenzhen, in the course of which, among other things, the 147 meters high VW logo and of course the model itself was projected into the sky. In addition to the 2,000 illuminated drones, two drones equipped with 6K cinema cameras were used to take the images for the following video.

The market launch of the Porsche Taycan in Dubai was also recently accompanied by a large light show on the facade of the world’s tallest building: On a total area of 33,000 square meters, Porsche showed the most important milestones in the company’s history up to the Taycan on the Burj Khalifa.
