Great Wall & Chery launch major recall in China
The two Chinese carmakers Great Wall Motor and Chery Automobile have launched a recall of a total of 17,623 new energy vehicles for thermal runaway risks of power battery.
CATL has issued a statement denying that it was the battery supplier of the recalled GWM vehicles. Farasis Energy said that it supplied modules for those vehicles but not the battery management system, which caused the recall.
