Total recall for Bolt turns into a horror for GM

The latest recall campaign for the Chevrolet Bolt due to ongoing battery problems is costing General Motors dearly. In its latest financial figures, the company itself has now put a figure on just how expensive: $800 million, or around $11,600 per car.

When the recall was launched last year, almost 70,000 vehicles were affected by the battery issue, which refused to let itself be fixed easily. In November, the US American manufacturer launched a software update, however, the update did not fix the issue. In June, another software update was to set things right, but this would also not solve the battery overheating issue. This has caused costs to accumulate.

I don’t think it has cost GM much so far. They don’t have a” fix” so no work has been done.

3rd recall right, why not replace with the new battery technology called Ultium, suppose to be cheaper, and better
