Taycan sets a charging record in the USA
The Porsche Taycan has set a new official Guinness World Record in the USA for the shortest charging time of an EV during a coast-to-coast drive. Wayne Gerdes completed the 2,834.5-mile trip from L.A. to New York in a 2021 Taycan with a cumulative charge time of 2 hours, 26 minutes and 48 seconds.
The previous record was over seven hours. Recently, the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo had already set a Guinness World Record, with around 5,000 metres of altitude covered.
