Hubject collaborates with CEZ Group

Hubject has announced a cooperation with the Czech energy company and charging point operator CEZ. The collaboration will connect more than 2,000 additional public charging points to Hubject’s e-roaming platform Intercharge.

The CEZ Group is primarily a fossil fuel energy supplier that – like many companies in the energy sector – is now also increasingly investing in electromobility. CEZ CEO Daniel Beneš already stated last year that they wanted to advance electromobility not only in the Czech Republic, but throughout Central Europe by building a reliable charging network.

“While ČEZ Group retains its leadership in the traditional energy industry, we continuously increasing energy needs and contribute to a higher quality of life. Therefore, becoming an active member in the emerging eMobility market was a logical step for us,” says Tomáš Chmelík, Head of the eMobility Department.

Hubject collaborates with a very wide range of partners. Most recently we reported that Hubject had entered into a global strategic partnership with ev.energy that combines ev.energy’s smart home charging network services with Hubject’s eRoaming data and consulting services.

“We are honoured to continue working with a powerful and innovative company ČEZ Group to achieve our goals enabling a customer-friendly, simple charging experience,” said Christian Hahn, CEO of Hubject.
