Cupra is working on a hybrid-electric yacht

The Seat brand Cupra is now bringing electrification to the aquatic sphere. Cupra has teamed up with De Antonio Yachts to develop the electrified vessel D28 Formentor e-Hybrid.

In addition to a 400 hp combustion engine, two retractable 15 kW electric motors form the drivetrain to create a hybrid system that allows the yacht to operate in pure electric mode, e.g. when cruising in harbours and lakes.
