Ideanomics launches Wave Charging brand
Ideanomics has created the brand Wave Charging for its charging solutions. Wave Charging plans to manufacture its charging solutions and components in the United States.
Under the Wave Charging brand, Ideanomics will sell inductive charging, DC fast chargers, mobile charging solutions, end-to-end infrastructure solutions, and charge management software.
Robin Mackie, Chief Operations Officer at Ideanomics, explained, “Consolidating our investments in charging solutions will allow us to optimize manufacturing and distribution, which will ultimately lead to better returns and a stronger offering to our customers.”
Under the new brand name, WAVE Charging will be the preferred charging solutions provider for VIA Motors’ electric work trucks. The fintech and sustainable transport company Ideanomics acquired US electric utility vehicle manufacturer Via Motors for $450 million in August 2021.
Ideonomics says together, WAVE Charging and VIA offer a cost-efficient, integrated EV and charging solution for VIA’s customers and other EV fleet operators.
