Energica to sell electric motorcycles in Japan & Australia
Italian electric motorbike brand Energica has launched sales of its high-performance motorbikes in Japan and Australia. The first electric motorcycles are scheduled to arrive in both countries in the first quarter of 2023. With this, Energica aims to strengthen its market position in the ASEAN region.
Ideanomics opens electric tractor factory in California
The US-American company Ideanomics, which specializes in electric utility vehicles, has commissioned what it claims is the largest assembly plant for electric tractors in North America. The plant in Windsor, California, has the capacity to produce 4,100 electric tractors annually.
US Hybrid to deliver hybrid and electric street sweeper components
Ideanomics has announced plans for its subsidiary US Hybrid to Global Environmental Products with its proprietary electric and hybrid propulsion kits for use in the construction of 62 zero-emission street sweepers. GEP will then provide the sweepers to New York, California, the City of Helena, Montana, and Washington D.C.
AVTA buys electric vans from Ideanomics’ US Hybrid
US Hybrid, an Ideanomics subsidiary, has announced an order from Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA). The transit agency expects US Hybrid to deliver 19 battery-electric vans for public transportation, but the vehicles must first undergo advanced testing.
Ideanomics invests in battery specialist InoBat
Ideanomics, a Chinese-US fintech and sustainable transport company based in New York has invested in the Slovakian battery specialist InoBat. The investment sum has not been disclosed but the sum should support the completion of InoBat’s R&D centre and pilot battery plant in Voderady, Slovakia, by the end of 2022.
