Lamborghini presents first hybrid series model Revuelto

Lamborghini has presented the Revuelto, the successor to the Aventador. The Revuelto is the first production model from the Italian sports car manufacturer, which belongs to the Volkswagen Group, with a plug-in hybrid drive.

This has an output of 1,015 hp and combines a V12 combustion engine at the rear with three electric motors, two of which with 110 kW each are located on the front axle and the third is integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The battery, however, only offers 3.8 kWh capacity. Lamborghini wants to hybridise its entire product range by the end of 2024. The first purely electric Lambo is reportedly due in 2028 in the form of a new four-seater crossover. The Revuelto can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of over 350 kph, according to the manufacturer.

“The new Revuelto is a milestone in the history of Lamborghini, and an important pillar in our Direzione Cor Tauri electrification strategy,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini Chairman and CEO. “It is a unique and innovative car but at the same time faithful to our DNA: the V12 is an iconic symbol of our super sports heritage and history. Revuelto was born to break the mold, combining a new 12-cylinder engine with hybrid technology, creating the perfect balance between delivering the emotion that our clients want with the necessity to reduce emissions.”
