Wolftank Group signs deals for 400 charging stations in Italy

Wolftank Group, a green energy technology provider from Austria, has partnered with several leading e-mobility providers in Italy to install more than 400 charging stations.

The first charging stations have already been set up, and Wolftank says “numerous others” will be installed in the coming months at around 115 highway service areas, train station parking lots, and public areas. However, there is no mention of actual partners or precise locations.

At the same time, the Group expects revenues of around €4 mn and says as it holds orders of over €2.5 mn from these framework agreements.

Today’s announcement also mentions an investment in the Italian company Mares, which is part of the Group via a joint venture with Kuwait Petroleum Italia. Reportedly, Wolftank also founded a joint venture with the public transport operator TPER of Bologna for bus hydrogen refuelling systems earlier this year.

“We have been able to make well-targeted use of our know-how as well as our network in Italy to win important contracts in the field of e-mobility,” says Peter Werth, CEO of the Wolftank Group. “Our goal is to become a key pillar for zero-emission vehicle refuelling and to build the infrastructure for the mobility of the future, be it e-mobility or hydrogen. The orders we have won give us the opportunity to consolidate and further expand our market position.”

The company has not provided details on these orders or the technology to utilize. Current press photos primarily show AC charge points; there is a location with five Alfen wall boxes and one Alpitronic Hypercharger.

Generally, the Group supports customers in more than 20 countries to implement projects efficiently and environmentally friendly. The services include “turnkey delivery” of modular hydrogen and LNG refuelling facilities. In environmental solutions, the offering consists of due diligence for environmental risks, customized services for soil and groundwater remediation, and recycling, so Wolftank. The Group’s subsidiaries in eight countries on three continents are managed by Wolftank-Adisa Holding AG, based in Innsbruck, Austria.
