Fisker launches ‘Ocean’ sales in three new European markets

Fisker is now offering its Ocean electric SUV in three additional European countries; Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland. There, the Fisker Ocean can be reserved and ordered immediately via country-specific websites – these are markets 10, 11 and 12 for the Ocean.

Deliveries in the three new countries are scheduled to begin at the end of September, according to the manufacturer. Fisker is also relying on the direct sales model in the three new countries.

Fisker had previously launched in Europe in Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden and the UK, as well as in the US and Canada. Deliveries are underway in all these countries, according to Fisker. The first ‘Ocean’ electric SUV was handed over to a customer in Denmark in early May.

However, Fisker recently lowered its production forecast again for 2023 to 20,000 to 23,000 vehicles. Originally, more than 42,000 units were planned for this year, but the company had already lowered this target to 32,000 to 36,000 vehicles in May, only a few days after the first delivery, before the new adjustment followed in August. The background is apparently delivery problems at a supplier that needs more time to increase its capacities.

“It is incredibly exciting to expand into new European countries,” saidHenrik Fisker, CEO and founder of the manufacturer. “Ultimately, we want to sell our vehicles all over the world, but creating a strong early presence in Europe has always been one of our highest priorities.”

In the UK, the electric SUV is available at prices starting at £35,970. The Sport variant starts at £35,970, and the Ultra and Extreme versions sell from £54,265 and £63,070, respectively. The Fisker Ocean One is available from £60,880.
