Next.e.GO Mobile plans microfactory in the US

The Aachen-based electric car manufacturer Next.e.GO Mobile also wants to build a microfactory in the USA for the production of its electric cars. In doing so, Next.e.GO Mobile aims to benefit from the subsidies of the US Inflation Reduction Act.

This was said by e.Go CEO Ali Vezvaei during the recently completed IPO in the USA. He did not give a concrete timetable for the US plant. However, Vezvaei stated that the construction of such a microfactory would cost around 60 million dollars. The highly automated production facility should be able to manufacture up to 30,000 electric vehicles per year.

In Europe, the company plans to have three microfactories. In addition to the one already in production in Aachen, Germany, these are the microfactories in Bulgaria and northern Macedonia. The plant in northern Macedonia is scheduled to start operations in 2024.

In mid-October, Next.e.GO Mobile had completed the IPO announced in 2022 via SPAC merger. Since the merger with company shell Athena Consumer Acquisition, the company has been listed on Nasdaq and is now called TopCo.

They have 11, 000+ preorders for the new model and a good plan to make a cheap urban car for riding around town , not across country, and 1200 of the last model on the road I last heard, with one factory in business and one being built. Due your own DD.
