PS ordered 25 electric vehicles from the group but has yet to disclose how many VW electric vans and Cupra Born the order entails.

Three Cupra Born cars are headed to Northern Ireland to support the delivery fleets of TPS Ballymena, TPS Cookstown and TPS Mallusk.

On the British mainland, TPS Coventry, TPS Gatwick, TPS Portsmouth and TPS Southampton will also receive the new electric vehicles.

Catherine Baker, Head of Group Parts Operations at Volkswagen UK, called adding the 25 all-electric vehicles a “major boost to our strategy to electrify”. TPS has 710 vehicles in the fleet. Some are already electric since the company ran pilot projects in selected centres with the Volkswagen ID.3 and the ABT eTransporter in specially commissioned wraps.

The new models also bear TPS branding.

The company’s 83 local centres supply genuine parts to workshops and body shops across the UK for vehicles from the Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, Seat, Cupra, Škoda and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brands.
