Iveco Bus to supply Lazio with 129 eDaily minibuses
The contract is being delivered in partnership with Romana Diesel, a local dealer, and bodybuilder Indcar. The minibuses will use the Indcar Mobi City body on the Iveco eDaily platform, measuring roughly 7997mm long, 2350mm wide, and 3110mm high. Two seating configurations will be provided: the first is an accessible 27-passenger layout (14 seated, 12 standing + 1 wheelchair space with a manual rear ramp), plus a 30-passenger layout (14 seated, 16 standing).
The €49 million Framework Agreement is being co-financed by the European Union’s Cohesion Project Italy 2021/2027, with €38.6 million of this earmarked for ASTRAL. The first 80 units set to arrive by 30 September 2026. No word yet on when the remaining vehicles will arrive, but an earlier tender announcement highlighted that the signed Framework Agreement lasts a total of 48 months, which may be the window in which the buses are all delivered.
Giorgio Zino, head of IVECO Bus Commercial Operations in Europe, commented: “We are proud to support the Lazio region in this ambitious sustainable mobility project. Our range of 100% electric vehicles, combined with the expertise of Romana Diesel and Indcar, offers a cutting-edge solution for public transport that is both efficient and environmentally friendly. Investing in clean technologies is essential to improve the quality of life in our cities, and we are pleased to support the Lazio Region in this initiative.”
