Harley subsidiary LiveWire unveils new electric models
Harley-Davidson’s electric motorcycle subsidiary LiveWire has unveiled a whole range of new models at the EICMA in Milan. The US company used the world’s most important motorcycle fair for the European premiere of the S4 Honcho Trail and Street models, whose production is scheduled to begin in early 2026. The lightweight bike roughly corresponds to a 125cc combustion motorcycle, meaning the S4 Honcho Street can be ridden in many European countries with an A1 licence.
The Trail version, on the other hand, is designed more for off-road use, and this variant of the mini bike does not require a driver’s licence when used away from public roads. With the two S4 Honcho models, LiveWire aims to expand its line-up downwards and offer customers an affordable entry point into electric mobility.

Sportbike with fast-charging capability
The S2 Alpinista Corsa (pictured) is set to impress above all with its fast-charging technology – at a DC charging station, the 10 kWh battery can be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in ten minutes. In the two-wheeler sector, that is quite a statement. The bike has also been fine-tuned for sportiness, featuring suspension components from Öhlins and several carbon parts.
Within the S2 model family, the manufacturer also offers a special version for the US police, called the Alpinista Patrol. At EICMA, the Milwaukee-based company gave a preview of what a version for the European market could look like. In the United States, the electric motorcycle is already on patrol, and in the medium term, police officers in European countries are also expected to benefit from the almost silent riding experience without shifting or clutching.
LiveWire’s first scooter to arrive in 2026
Taiwanese scooter manufacturer Kymco has held shares in LiveWire since 2021. At the Italian trade fair, the two companies presented their jointly developed maxi-scooter. More precisely, it is a near-production prototype – the model is expected to launch in the first half of 2026. The maxi-scooter is largely based on the “LiveWire S2 Arrow” platform.
This platform delivers a peak output of 63 kW, while LiveWire states a continuous output of 30 kW. For the motorcycles, top speed is 163 kph, and acceleration from 0 to 100 kph takes just three seconds under ideal conditions. Whether these figures also apply to the A2-compatible scooter remains to be seen. In mixed use, the platform enables a maximum range of 113 kilometres.
