UK: Citroën opens orders for ë-C5 Aircross Long Range

Citroën has opened UK orders for the ë-C5 Aircross Long Range, offering up to 421 miles on a single charge. The model is the first of its kind to receive the full £3,750 Electric Car Grant in the UK, bringing the entry price down to £32,935.

The ë-C5 Aircross Long Range features a 97 kWh battery and a 230 hp electric motor, achieving up to 421 miles on the WLTP Combined cycle. The battery cells are produced in Europe at the Stellantis ACC joint venture plant in France, reducing production-related emissions.

The Long Range variant is available in three trims: YOU!, PLUS and MAX. The YOU! version includes 19-inch alloy wheels and starts from £32,935 following the deduction of the ECG. The PLUS trim is priced from £35,575, while the MAX version includes a heat pump, semi-autonomous Drive Assist Pack 2.0 and heated front seats. It sells from £38,215.

Just last week, Stellantis announced that the Citroën e-C5 Aircross Long Range qualifies for the full Electric Car Grant of £3,750. It is only the third model to do so, following in the footsteps of the Ford E-Tourneo Courier and Puma Gen-E. Interestingly, all other electric variants of the Citroën ë-C5 Aircross only qualify for a £1,500 discount under the ECG.

The carmaker opened the order books for C5 Aircross hybrid and ë-C5 Aircross battery-electric in July in the UK, followed by the plug-in hybrid variant in September.
