USA: Porsche enables Plug & Charge at Tesla Superchargers
The integration allows compatible vehicles to authenticate automatically at supported Tesla Superchargers, with charging sessions billed directly via the Porsche Charging Service account. According to the company, this removes the need to use third-party apps or physical payment methods at the charging point and is intended to reduce overall charging time and complexity during longer journeys.
“Expanding Plug & Charge availability more than 27,000 additional charging stations simplifies the charging process and enhances ease of use. It is an important milestone in delivering a seamless electric vehicle experience,” said Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America.
Porsche confirmed that the same Plug & Charge capability will also be offered on the Cayenne Electric once the model is introduced in the US later this year. This would extend the functionality across a broader share of Porsche’s upcoming electric portfolio in the region.
Porsche introduced its NACS adapter in the US in September of last year, giving its customers access to Tesla Superchargers across the continent. The 2026 Porsche Taycan and Macan EVs include an NACS adapter free of charge.
The Porsche Charging Service also provides roaming access to the ChargePoint network and supports Plug & Charge at Electrify America stations. According to Porsche, the aim of these measures is to improve interoperability between charging networks and to simplify the charging experience for EV drivers.
