Hyundai Motor UK opens orders for Ioniq 6 N from £65,800
In the UK, the model is available in a single specification, which builds on technology introduced in the Ioniq 5. However, as Hyundai emphasises, the Ioniq 6 offers a more aerodynamic body style than its predecessor.
The EV was first introduced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England, last summer. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive system offers an output of 478 kW and delivers 770 Nm with N Grin Boost engaged. It completes the sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds using N Launch Control, and has a top speed of 257 km/h (160 mph). Power electronics are optimised for the E-GMP platform, with the rear motor acting as the primary drive unit.
The 84 kWh lithium-ion battery supports 800-volt DC charging, with up to 80 per cent charge achievable in 18 minutes on a 350 kW charger. The WLTP driving range is quoted at up to 302 miles, with energy efficiency of 3.3 mi/kWh.

As with the Ioniq 5 N, the Ioniq 6 N introduces N e-Shift, here with shorter virtual gear ratios, alongside an enhanced N Active Sound+ system with upgraded hardware and acoustic tuning. Drivers can configure multiple N performance parameters via steering-wheel controls, including torque distribution, regenerative braking and drift optimisation.
Externally, the model adopts 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, widened fenders and a high-performance rear wing to support high-speed stability. Inside, the cabin features Alcantara and leather bucket seats, N-specific pedals, knee support padding and Hyundai’s latest CCnC infotainment system. A Vision Roof and six exterior colours are available as options.
Commenting on the launch, Ashley Andrew, Hyundai & Genesis UK President, said: “IONIQ 5 N revolutionised the world of performance cars, proving that an electric car could still raise the pulse of a driving enthusiast. IONIQ 6 N delivers even more to the enthusiast driver; all the benefits of the 5 N’s high-performance E-GMP base, a suspension set up that produces both a different character, all encapsulated in the aerodynamic IONIQ 6’s electrified streamliner shape.”
