ACC puts work on battery factories in Kaiserslautern and Termoli on hold

The battery cell joint venture Automotive Cells Company (ACC) of Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz and TotalEnergies is pausing construction work on its battery cell plants in Kaiserslautern and Termoli, Italy. According to an agency report, this is in order to switch from its nickel-based cell chemistry to more cost-effective battery technologies.
