Porsche rumoured to be working on electric 911
Contrary to previous statements, Porsche apparently not only wants to hybridise its sports car icon 911, but also realise a purely electric version. According to a media report, an electric 911 is to come before the end of this decade. However, there are probably delays with the electric Macan.

Porsche boss Oliver Blume recently confirmed in an interview that the Porsche 911 will “never” be driven purely electrically ex works. Since the German manufacturer refused to do so, another company has taken it upon themselves to electrify the classic 1965 Porsche 911.

Porsche 718, Cayenne & Panamera may go electric
Within the next twelve months, Porsche intends to make a final decision as to whether the next generation of the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman will be solely manufactured as an electric series. This was stated by Porsche boss Oliver Blume in an interview.

Porsche pushes their electrification initiative forward
Porsche is accelerating their electrification plans and announced that between 2022 and 2025, a fully electric version of the Macan, Cayenne, Boxster and Panamera will be made available. As of 2027, only the 911 will drive with a combustion motor.
