Better range with silicon carbide chip from Bosch
Bosch plans to produce new silicon carbide (SiC) semiconductors at its Reutlingen plant. The company says that, in comparison to regular silicon chips, SiC chips increase electrical conductivity and can push up an electric vehicle’s range by six per cent.

Audi rumoured to be planning electric R8
Audi is reportedly planning a fully electric successor for its R8 sports car and intends to cooperate with Rimac to make this happen. According to a British media report, a name, a plant and a planned start date have already been decided upon.
German battery cell production research centre situated
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft has announced that its battery production research centre (FFB) will be located in Münster and will be set up at MEET (Electrochemical Energy Technology centre at Uni Münster). The German government funds the project with 500 million euros.
