Blink Charging acquires SemaConnect
In the USA, Blink Charging is to acquire SemaConnect, a provider of EV charging infrastructure solutions in North America, for $200 million. Hereby, Blink looks set to gain 13,000 EV chargers, an additional 3,800 site host locations, and more than 150,000 registered EV driver members.
Blink Charging shows new chargers ready for Plug&Charge at CES
Blink Charging has launched seven new products at the CES in Las Vegas, moving deeper into the smart charging and commercial space. The charging solutions cover home, fleet, and retail charging as well as vehicle-to-grid technology. There’s also two new apps for private and commercial users of Blink products.
Blink Charging acquires Blue Corner
Blink Charging has acquired the European EV charging operator Blue Corner N.V., based in Antwerp, Belgium. The acquisition adds 7,071 charging ports to Blink’s portfolio across four countries in Western Europe – Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and France.
Chakratec enters North America with Blink Charging
Israel’s Chakratec that specialises in energy storage for ultra fast-charging stations is coming to North America. Chakratec is now collaborating with Blink Charging supported by a $900,000 grant from the Israel-U.S. Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Energy Program.
