Kandi sells: The Chinese manufacturer signed a deal with Zhejiang Shi Kong Electric Vehicle, which will acquire more than 4,000 Kandi EV to resell them online. Another 2,000 vehicles will be delivered to the Chinese city of Kunming to be used in Micro Transportation.

Indianapolis’ first electric buses are rolling through the city’s streets. They are run by the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (IndyGo), which aims to have 21 electric coaches funded by a TIGER grant by the year’s end. Maybe it will help BlueIndy get some love, too.

Charged if charged: The American Car Charging Group will enforce a new de-ICEing policy – this time for EV drivers. Everyone leaving their car at a charger for more than 15 minutes after being fully charged will have to pay 8 cents/minute. The new rule will be put in place starting Monday.

Blink charger upgrade: After Tesla made its patents public, the Car Charging Group announced that it will integrate Tesla charging technology into its 119 Blink quick chargers in the USA. Before, Model S drivers needed an adapter to use Blink’s CHAdeMO chargers.

E-bus investment: Electric bus manufacturer Proterra received 30 million dollars from GM Ventures, Kleiner Perkins and Tao Invest to further develop its vehicles. Furthermore, the company expects to generate another ten million dollars funding within the coming weeks.

BYD for Nanjing: Placing the largest order for BYD to date, the Chinese city of Najing has ordered more than 600 K9 electric buses and 400 e6 electric taxis. Nanjing is one of the cities in China that has been chosen by the government to be a pilot region for their air quality improvement programs.

CA’s first electric school bus enters service: The so-called Trans Tec SST-e has a Ford E450 cutaway chassis and features an electric powertrain by Motiv Power System. It has a range of 80 to 100 miles and could save the school district as much as 10,000 dollars in fuel and maintenance every year.

Car Charging starts selling Blink HQ again: The 240 V, 30 A, level-two residential EV charging station is compatible with all electric vehicles sold in the U.S. It also includes an 18-foot cable. Blink HQ had been previously been sold by Ecotality, which was bought out by Car Charging in October 2013.
