Skoda launches Enyaq L&K with 210 kW
Skoda rounds off its purely electric SUV series with the Enyaq L&K. The new variant will have a maximum system output of 210 kW and a higher WLTP range of up to 570 kilometres. In addition, there are new design features and, according to Skoda, particularly extensive standard equipment.

Skoda to increase battery system production in 2023
Skoda will install another assembly line for MEB battery systems at its main plant in Mladá Boleslav this year, increasing production capacity to 1,500 units per day. The first assembly line went into operation there in May 2022.

Volkswagen boosts BEV deliveries by 27%
The Volkswagen Group increased its deliveries of fully electric vehicles by 27 per cent in the first six months of 2022 compared to the same period last year. A total of 217,100 all-electric vehicles were handed over to customers in the first half of the year, up from 170,900 in the same period last year.

The Czech VW brand Skoda is ramping up production of its all-electric Enyaq iV at its main plant in Mladá Boleslav. Production had to be interrupted for a few weeks due to supply bottlenecks for wiring harnesses.

UK: Skoda cuts Enyaq 60 due to supply issues
Skoda has dropped the Enyaq 60 with the small battery from its UK line-up. A spokesperson cited high demand as well as supply chain issues due to the war in Ukraine but added it was an interim measure. Volkswagen’s Czech subsidiary had made similar cuts in other markets earlier.

Škoda UK is reducing the time new Enyaq iV owners will spend charging by equipping all new models with upgraded DC fast charging as standard. The charging capacity for all models was more than doubled from the previous 50kW charging capacity.

According to CEO Thomas Schäfer, Skoda is “intensively thinking about an E-Octavia”. However, Schäfer says the volume model, which has so far been offered as a combustion engine and plug-in hybrid, will not be launched as a purely electric vehicle until after 2025.

In Norway, 11,811 new electric cars were registered in August. The share of electric cars in new passenger car registrations was 71.9 per cent last month. Norway’s most successful model across all drive types in August was the Tesla Model Y with 1,308 new registrations.

Škoda has started deliveries of its electric model Enyaq iV. The first model was delivered to a family in Norway. After the start of deliveries in the Scandinavian markets, Western and Central Europe are to follow from May and June 2021.

Swisscom working towards full fleet electrification
Telecommunications group Swisscom maintains one of the largest company fleets in Switzerland, comprising of around 24,000 vehicles. The Group now decided to progress electrification and to include all-electric cars for the first time. Swisscom opted for the new Škoda Enyaq e-SUV by the Volkswagen Group.

Škoda has started series production of its all-electric Enyaq iV model based on MEB. Up to 350 units of the e-SUV will eventually be produced daily at Škoda’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav on the same lines as the Octavia and Karoq model series containing combustion engines.
