Joby absolves first tests with the FAA
The eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) start-up Joby Aviation has completed the first system tests and compliance checks by the Federal Aviation Administration and received the approvals. The company, therefore, feels that its development approach has been validated and intends to continue working on the product design.

Volocopter applies for certification in the USA and EU
Volocopter has initiated the certification process for the US market. The German e-flight taxi startup announced that the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) accepted its application for parallel approval on 22 December 2020.

FAA legalises ultralight Hoverbike for real
At the start of 2017, we told you about a hoverbike called Scorpion. Back then the company from Russia was ahead of the game of flying cars, although their VTOL is more of a hovering jet ski. Nonetheless, at least they had a flying prototype and have since advanced.
