Nidec to open axle drive factory in China
Japanese electric motor manufacturer Nidec announces the construction of a new electric axle drive factory in China. The factory in Pinghu in China’s Zhejiang province will be designed for an annual capacity of one million units and is scheduled to start production in October 2023.
GKN to make more electric drives in China
GKN Driveline announced its plans for the construction of a new plant in Pinghu, Zhejiang Province, through its Chinese joint venture SDS. The facility is an expansion of GKN’s existing presence in the PRC and will make gears for eDrive systems.
Nidec to invest in new e-motor factory in China
The Japanese electric motor manufacturer Nidec is planning to invest about 274 million dollars into a manufacturing facility in China. The new factory in Pinghu near Shanghai is supposed to begin serial production of traction motors for electrified vehicles in 2019.
