Volvo Trucks has started delivering its first all-electric trucks. These include a garbage truck for the waste and recycling company Renova in Hamburg, Germany and a distribution truck for the Swedish Schenker service provider TGM.

Scania is developing a fuel cell refuse truck together with Renova, a waste handling company in Sweden. The truck will feature a fully electrified powertrain as well as an electrified compactor. Supported by government agencies, Scania set delivery for 2019/20.

Volvo Trucks has finally released the technical specifications of their first fully electric truck. The Volvo FL Electric is designed for urban delivery routes, as well as communal service, such as garbage removal, and has a range of up to 300 km.
