Hyundai-Kia update US electric car line-up
Hyundai and Kia are updating their electrified car line-up in the United States. Hyundai, for example, lowered the price for the Kona Electric while Kia is bringing in some new hybrid cars in the model year 2022.
Kia reveals Sorento PHEV set to launch in 2021
Kia presents the Sorento plug-in hybrid set for launch in select European markets in early 2021. The Sorento is the brand’s first SUV riding on the platform, that forms the new technical basis for the firm’s electrification strategy.
Kia considers launching a fully-electric Ceed
According to Europa-COO Emilio Herrera, Kia is considering making a purely electric version of its Ceed model, as well as bringing another – as yet unnamed – new fully-electric model brought to market by 2021, and bumping up electrification through plug-in hybrids.

Kia to raise plug-in profile with potential for fuel cells
Kia plans to expand its range of electrified models on a global scale. Artur Martins, Kia’s head of marketing for Europe, confirmed that a PHEV version of the Ceed Kombi is expected in the second half of 2019 and Kia may bring their Korean fuel cell car soon to other markets as well.
