Dundee scraps hydrogen fuel cell buses
The Scottish city of Dundee has scrapped a project that would have seen twelve hydrogen fuel cell buses joining public transport. The Council said it needed the cash elsewhere since costs had gone up, for example, in construction, so hydrogen became “less of a priority”.

Xplore Dundee takes delivery of a dozen electric double-deckers
The manufacturer alliance Alexander Dennis Limited and BYD has delivered twelve battery-electric double-deckers to the Scottish city of Dundee. Bus operator Xplore Dundee which belongs to the McGill’s Group will use the Enviro400EV buses on route 28, serving Dundee’s Lochee Road, which is the fourth most polluted street in Scotland.

Electric buses coming to Aberdeen, Perth and Kilmarnock
Following the launch of Scotland’s e-bus funding SUBLEBS, Stagecoach has released further information in its current order. They ordered 46 electric buses from BYD ADL for use in three Scottish cities. The 24 electric single-deck and 22 double-deck buses will be deployed in Aberdeen, Perth and Kilmarnock.
