Scania delivers 66-tonne electric truck to Norway
We have written several times about Scania’s extra-long heavy-duty electric trucks. Now another such vehicle has been delivered, this time in Norway, to haul lime with its 66 tonnes total weight, sparing the atmosphere the combustion of almost 60,000 litres of diesel per year.

MAN presents electric bus chassis for global markets
MAN Truck & Bus has presented a fully electric bus chassis for the global market. The Lion’s Chassis E is based on technologies from the MAN Lion’s City E electric bus model and is scheduled to roll off the production line at MAN’s Polish plant in Starachowice from 2024 onwards.

Scania to dump the combustion engine by 2040

Volvo Group, Traton & Daimler Truck kickstart CV Charging Europe

Traton increases research & development investment
The Traton Group has increased its investment in research and development for electromobility. The company now plans to spend 2.6 billion euros on this by 2026, compared with 1.6 billion euros previously planned by 2025. At the same time, Traton is scaling back its investments in combustion engines.

Fraunhofer study: Hydrogen will not play a major role in road transport
The Traton Group sees an analysis by the Fraunhofer Institute as confirming its strategy with its focus on battery-electric drives.
