Zenobe Energy expands into New Zealand
UK electric vehicle fleet and battery storage specialist Zenobe Energy is to enter the New Zealand market. A $20 million investment from New Zealand Green Investment Finance (NZGIF) has been secured to support the deployment of electric bus fleets with major operators in the country.
BYD-ADL to supply 130 electric buses for Coventry
Electric bus partners BYD and Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) will build 130 Enviro400EV electric double-decker buses for bus operator National Express and Zenobē. The vehicles are scheduled to enter service in Coventry, UK, from early 2023.
Zenobe sets up £241m for EV fleet expansion
UK electric vehicle fleet and battery storage provider Zenobe has established a multi-source debt structure of £241 million to accelerate the expansion of the EV fleet sector. The company aims to initially service and finance up to 430 new electric buses in the UK and Ireland.
Electric buses are rolled out in Wales
Following electric bus trials in Cardiff that began in 2018, Newport is now going to become the first city in Wales to sport the country’s first electric bus. By April 2020 the city will receive another 14 electric buses.
UK: E-buses for Stagecoach powered by Tesla Powerpacks
In the UK, Stagecoach is now using Tesla Powerpacks to reduce the cost of charging a large fleet of electric buses. Energy company Zenobe has installed 78 stationery batteries and several charging stations at Stagecoach’s bus depot in Guildford, a town in southern England.
