Russia rumoured to introduce EV subsidies in 2022
The subsidy programme for electric cars in Russia could start next year, according to a media report. According to the report, customers are to receive 25 per cent of the purchase price of each electric car produced in Russia, up to a maximum of 625,000 roubles (7,210 euros).
Zetta production to launch in Russia in 2021
After interim difficulties, Zetta, Russia’s first electric vehicle, is now set to go into series production at the end of the year. The compact three-door electric vehicle is to be produced at the Togliatti plant in the Samara region. A fuel cell car is to follow by 2024.
The Zetta won’t getcha in Russia
The Zetta was to be Russia’s first electric car, and the Ministry of Industry wanted to see it brought to market. But recently, the deadlines for the start of production have been pushed further and further back.
