Renault’s plug-in plans become more concrete: A final decision about production has yet to be made, but it is becoming clear what form the PHEV will take. It also features a new breaking system with increased regenerative capability, while the battery has been installed underneath the cargo hold. New Zoe offerings: As of today, Renault’s EV is available in France for long-term hire starting at 169 euros (232 dollars) per month – that is after a 6,300-euro governmental rebate and about 3,000-euro down payment. Also new is the optional 7 kW EVSE, with which customers can ‘fill-up‘ in just about 4 hours.

Russia’s hybrid dream comes to an end: The Yo-Mobil was to cost only 10,000 euros (13,700 dollars) and back in 2010, its production was announced with much ado…about nothing. The only big news since then – the production start has now been pushed back indefinitely. (In German)
