The hybrid ferries from Scandlines could soon be followed by fully-electric ones. After the carrier had been granted 2.3 million euros from the European Union for their conversion of two ferries to hybrid drivetrains. Scandlines’ CEO Søren Poulsgaard Jensen is considering the electrification of one vessel of its Helsingør-Helsingborg route.
