New Honda hybrid for Europe: Ahead of its presentation next month at the Paris Motor Show, Honda has released pictures of the HR-V crossover SUV. The car, which is sold as Vezel in Japan, will come with Honda’s new hybrid drivetrain and become available early 2015.

MyCar production: GreenTech Automotive finished constructions of its Tunica production plant. The U.S. automotive manufacturer will produce MyCar, a two-seat Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV) at the site in Mississippi. Production is set to commence in the last quarter of 2014.

No Technik, no Vorsprung: Once more, Audi is not sticking to its famous claim “Vorsprung durch Technik.” In its latest press release about the updated Audi A6, which will debut in Paris soon, there is not a single word about a hybrid version anymore. Although, there is slight hope that Audi will stick to its promise to introduce a plug-in hybrid version with the next generation.

BMW is uncertain whether to build the Mini Superleggera or not. According to a BMW board member, a decision towards the electric two-door roadster is at least six months away. Mini is currently evaluating several different options including the question whether the Superleggera should be produced in-house or by somebody else.

New Mission: Electric. At least that is what latest developments at Mission Motorcycles and Mission Motors could mean. On one hand, they might have to delay their first deliveries of electric motorcycles by as much as ten months, on the other hand they obviously plan on entering the automotive and marine space under the new enterprise Mission Electric.
