French electric mobility measures: Energy Minister Ségolène Royal and Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron have announced five measures to foster e-mobility in France, including a 30 percent tax credit for charging stations as well as the standardisation and installation of public charging infrastructure. Furthermore, the buying incentive of 6,300 euros (7,229 USD) for EVs and 4,000 euros (4,590 USD) for plug-in hybrids will be continued in 2015.

Hyundai-Tucson-FCVHyundai will continue the ix35 as Tucson in Europe and present the successor model at this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Hyundai has already revealed the first sketch of the 2016 Tucson, but technical details remain scarce. However, a fuel cell version is likely to be included in the new range again.

Philippines’ first electric motorcycle: The manufacturer Phil Etro EV has developed the first Philippine electric motorcycle and plans to produce 2,000 units of the Agila this year with 200 scheduled for the first quarter. The Agila can take up to 7 persons (Asian-style, probably) and a load of 350 kg.

Hybrid Mini spy shot: New pictures show a Mini Countryman testing in a wintry tundra. Despite being in camouflage, letters on the door identify it as “Hybrid Test Vehicle” thus making a plug-in hybrid more than likely. The new Countryman is believed to use the hybrid system of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer.
