Electric cargo bike sharing: Carvelo2go kicked off in Bern, Switzerland. It claims to be the world’s first electric cargo bike sharing. 18 bikes are available for hire at host locations. The Mobility Academy involved in the project plans to bring the solutions to other cities and to eventually roll out carvelo2go nationwide.

Hybrid bus fleet: The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District has decided to acquire at least twelve diesel-electric hybrid buses over the next five years. Eventually, the transport provider might purchase as many as 47. The vehicles will come from Canadian New Flyer Industries.
