Electric cargo bikesharing: Swiss Carvelo2go from Bern is following its expansive plans as it makes 17 electric cargo pedelecs available for hire in Basel. After Bern, it is the second city in Switzerland joining the scheme, which will eventually be rolled out nationwide.

EV fleet management: EV infrastructure provider Rolec launches a cloud-based management system with easy access to data on their electric vehicle fleet, i.e. charging times. The EV GroupManager can be integrated into a firm’s fleet management software and is divided into users.

Most motivated PHEV dealer: Phoenix Mitsubishi based in Scottish Paisley installed six rapid charging stations. The shop now boasts eight and says the expansion is driven by strong growth in Outlander PHEV sales which increased by 41% this February compared to the same month last year.

Charge and Shop: The British town of Fleet will see the installation of four rapid charge points by Engenie through the Hart District council this summer. Located at a car park, EV drivers will be able to charge fast and pay as they go via mobile phone.

EV fleet on campus: Swansea University proudly presents its electric vehicle fleet. It consists of five Nissan EVs – two Leafs and three e-NV200 vans – that are used by different uni teams. So far, the electric fleet has resulted in fuel savings worth more than 2,000 pounds.

Electric cargo bike sharing: Carvelo2go kicked off in Bern, Switzerland. It claims to be the world’s first electric cargo bike sharing. 18 bikes are available for hire at host locations. The Mobility Academy involved in the project plans to bring the solutions to other cities and to eventually roll out carvelo2go nationwide.

Hybrid bus fleet: The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District has decided to acquire at least twelve diesel-electric hybrid buses over the next five years. Eventually, the transport provider might purchase as many as 47. The vehicles will come from Canadian New Flyer Industries.

Charging isles: Georgia Power opened eleven new EV charging stations located at its properties across the state. By the end of 2016, the utility intends to have installed 61 community charging islands across Georgia, where the public can charge for a fee.

Hydrogen package: ITM Power, SymbioFCell and Arcola Energy are teaming up to offer British fleet operators a full H2 package. It includes the Renault Kangoo Z.E. with fuel cell range extender, hydrogen refuelling and several other services.

Tesla opened two new Superchargers in Australia. The stations at Goulburn and Wodonga enable Model S drivers to travel between Sydney and Melbourne. In order to make it, owners will have to charge for about an hour at each spot.
