Electric cargo bikesharing: Swiss Carvelo2go from Bern is following its expansive plans as it makes 17 electric cargo pedelecs available for hire in Basel. After Bern, it is the second city in Switzerland joining the scheme, which will eventually be rolled out nationwide.
EV fleet management: EV infrastructure provider Rolec launches a cloud-based management system with easy access to data on their electric vehicle fleet, i.e. charging times. The EV GroupManager can be integrated into a firm’s fleet management software and is divided into users.
Most motivated PHEV dealer: Phoenix Mitsubishi based in Scottish Paisley installed six rapid charging stations. The shop now boasts eight and says the expansion is driven by strong growth in Outlander PHEV sales which increased by 41% this February compared to the same month last year.
Charge and Shop: The British town of Fleet will see the installation of four rapid charge points by Engenie through the Hart District council this summer. Located at a car park, EV drivers will be able to charge fast and pay as they go via mobile phone.
EV fleet on campus: Swansea University proudly presents its electric vehicle fleet. It consists of five Nissan EVs – two Leafs and three e-NV200 vans – that are used by different uni teams. So far, the electric fleet has resulted in fuel savings worth more than 2,000 pounds.
