Tesla production: At the AVERE E-Mobility conference in Amsterdam, Tesla Vice President of Business Development, Diarmuid O’Connell, confirmed that nearly 400,000 Model 3 have already been reserved. As a result, the EV maker plans to increase production and expand its line-up, including a possible Tesla pickup truck.

New Nevada plant: 2050 Motors is checking out possible sites in the Las Vegas area to erect an automotive manufacturing plant. They may be seeking tax incentives before building. For now, the company will continue importing vehicles from their plant in China, including the recently unveiled e-Go and Ibis.
Mahindra launched: Indian carmaker Mahindra’s e2o has launched in the UK. The three-door hatchback claims a range of 29 miles and is competitively priced, starting at 12,995 pounds, after UK grants. Though it costs more than the Renault Twizy, it remains cheaper that alternatives like the Leaf and Zoe.

Impulse continues: The Solar Impulse 2 is ready to continue its trip around the world. The plane was grounded last year after flying from Japan to Hawaii due to battery damage. After 13 test flights and training flights, the Solar Impulse 2 will be taking off as soon as the first favourable window for flight arises.
Pikes Peak race: Zero Motorcycles will be teaming up with Hollywood Electrics to enter the 100th Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Two Zero FXS motorcycles will be in the race, piloted by Jake Holden and Mark Miller. The race takes place on a 12.42-mile course, beginning at 9,390 feet, and includes 156 turns.
Tesla social: Current Model S owners are being invited to a new event series called “Tesla Weekend Social.” The meetup offers current owners the chance to meet each other and also to speak with Tesla representatives about upcoming products and features.
