Three Audi EV by 2020: The electric SUV due in 2018 will be just the start for Audi’s electric line-up. Two more electric cars are planned, Audi CEO Rupert Stadler told Auto Express. Following on from the SUV, Audi will most likely launch an electric sports car and lastly a compact electric car which is expected to share some technology with the VW I.D. once it arrives in 2020.

More affordable EVs come from Mahindra as the Indian carmaker plans to build three to four electric models costing less than 1m rupees, about 14,000 euros. Mahindra reasons that in order for EVs to help clean the air they need to be “mass affordable” and not a luxury niche segment or even SUVs, which the firm sees as “image” rather than breadwinner.
