Third VW I.D. concept: VW is about to present its third EV concept in Shanghai as expected. The I.D. Crozz coupe-crossover is based on the MEB platform and follows from the I.D. and I.D. Buzz. It will thus hit the road by 2020. The ID Crozz bears two electric motors (225 kW/302 bhp) and gets a range of up to 500 km.
Audi’s second EV concept: Two years passed since Audi presented its first EV concept, the e-tron quattro at the IAA. While this model will go serial in 2018, the German carmaker is set to put the concept of a coupe variant in the spotlights of the Shanghai Motor Show. As with the first EV, the four-door Sportback comes with three electric motors and shall be ready for serial production no later than 2019.

Skoda presents Vision E: In the run-up to the Shanghai Motor Show, VW’s Czech subsidiary has unveiled its Vision E concept which is to go serial in about 3 years. Just like the I.D. Crozz, the coupe-crossover relies on two electric motors with a total output of 225kW (302bhp) and shall reach up to 500 km, too. Just recently, Skoda announced to launch 5 all-electric models until 2025.
Roewe unveils electric SUV: SAIC brand Roewe intends to display its all-electric concept Vision-E in Shanghai, that is not to be mixed up with Skoda’s vision, at least not by name. SAIC’s concept to aims for 500 km range but may roll of the lines already next year in China. Production will be handled by the SAIC-VW joint venture, the same that is also to make the Skoda’s Vision E, what suggests that Roewe’s and Skoda’s concept may even share a platform – although the design of both models differs.
Tesla lowers base price for Model S: The Silicon Valley based EV maker has removed the 60 kWh version of its Model S from its line-up as announced. This makes the Model S 75 the new entry option that is now available for a significantly lower gross price, namely 69,350 euros.
