Porsche extends its PHEV range, adding the Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S E-Hybrid to its line-up. The new model version couples a 4.0-litre V8 engine with an electric motor, reaching a system output of 500 kW. In full EV mode, the car manages up to 140 km/h and a distance of 49 km. However, with its combined hybrid power it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 310 km/h. Porsche says it just opened its order books. In Germany, pricing of the Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo S E-Hybrid will start from 188.592 euros.

Tesla Model S solely with all-wheel drive: The Californian EV maker has put its announcement into practise, cancelled the Model S 75 from its line-up and thus made the all-wheel drive version with 75 or 100 kWh battery pack its new base model. Future Model S owners have to pay now at least 74,500 dollars in the U.S. or for example 73,170 euros in Germany (environmental bonus included).
Coda successor looks for investors: Since Mullen presented its 700e based on the EV sedan of 2013 bankrupt declared manufacturer Coda, it has got very calm around the project for almost 3 years. But now, Mullen Technologies returns into the news, announcing the plan to generate 500m U.S. dollars to finance the production of an all-new 2018 700e and to build a battery factory, on top.

Electric truck made by VW and Navistar: U.S. utility vehicle manufacturer Navistar says it intends to develop an electric medium-duty truck in cooperation with Volkswagen Truck & Bus. The model shall enter Navistar’s core markets in the States and Canada in late 2019 or early 2020.
VW registers “I.D. Streetmate”: The German car manufacturer has applied for the “I.D. Streetmate” trademark, fuelling rumours that this name could be the label of a future I.D. family member. As reported, VW develops several fully-electrified I.D. models based on the MEB platform with the first one to be launched in 2020. So far, VW officially introduced the well-known trio I.D., I.D. Cross und I.D. Buzz. However, a picture of unclear origin recently showed two further models.
Zoe and Kangoo Z.E. to enter Australian market: Renault will introduce its Zoe and Kangoo Z.E. to Australia, where the choice between EVs is still very limited. The Zoe will cost 44,470 dollars, while the Kangoo Z.E. will be available for 45,990 dollars. However, both EVs won’t appear in showrooms, instead they are going to hit the road through direct sales to businesses and government departments only.
