Also Honda and Nissan target all solid-state batteries

More and more OEMs and battery specialists are trying to develop all solid-state batteries for future electric vehicles. Apart from Toyota, also the Japanese OEMs Honda and Nissan are working on this approach – but obviously not together.

A speaker of Honda has stated that his company does research on all solid-state batteries but currently does not cooperate with any other car maker on this field.

Toyota even says explicitly that it wants to keep the solid-state battery research under its own roof, as reported. The company imagines to launch first models with solid-state batteries in about five years.
